The Kadikoy-Sultanbeyli Metro project represents one of the most important ongoing developments in Istanbul’s public transportation network.
This new line aims to connect two crucial areas of the city: Kadikoy, a vibrant residential and commercial area located on the Asian side of Istanbul, and Sultanbeyli, a rapidly growing district located on the eastern outskirts of the city.

The line’s route will extend approximately 18-20 kilometres, with a number of intermediate stations that will serve various residential and commercial districts along the way.

The new line will not only connect two ends of the city, but will also serve as an important connection to other nodes in the public transportation network, such as the Marmaray Metro, ferries and bus lines.

One of the most notable technical aspects of the project is the construction of deep underground tunnels, requiring the use of advanced excavation technologies, such as TBMs (Tunnel Boring Machines).

The Kadikoy-Sultanbeyli project includes several advanced engineering solutions to ensure the safety and efficiency of the system.

Modern signalling and rail traffic management technologies will be implemented, which will optimize the frequency and capacity of trains, thus reducing waiting times for passengers.

Bestmind assisted Sintagma in the study of the tender, permitting the identification of local partner Prota. Bestmind went on to investigate and then draft the complete text of the technical and administrative part of the tender, ultimately staying on until the final awarding of the project.
